Treñas lauds ICPO feats against drugs, crimes
Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO)’s aggressive campaign against illegal drugs and criminality has gained praises from no less than Mayor Jerry P. Treñas.
“Congratulations to the ICPO under Colonel Coronica. I am extremely pleased and more than satisfied with their accomplishments,” he said.
Treñas vowed continued support for the police force and enjoined the partnership and cooperation of the entire community.
He expressed appreciation to ICPO director Police Col. Joeresty Coronica for their accomplishments from May 1-15.
ICPO carried out 18 anti-illegal drug operations and arrested 23 suspects and a total seizure of some 793 grams of suspected shabu with standard price of P5.39-million and staggering street prevailing price of P15.87-million.
They also conducted four operations against illegal firearms and explosives and eight operations against illegal gambling, with 21 violators apprehended.
On the implementation of city ordinances, 594 violators were fined while 7,306 individuals were warned. (Iloilo City PIO)
