No more RT-PCR test, quarantine for fully-vaccinated Iloilo City inbound travelers
Breaking news: Iloilo City will no longer require Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing and quarantine for fully vaccinated individuals entering the metropolis starting October 16, 2021.
In an interview over RMN Iloilo, City Mayor Jerry Treñas announced that fully inbound travelers from Bacolod, Cebu, Metro Manila, and other places in the country will NOT be required to present RT-PCR test and need not undergo quarantine.
“For fully vaccinated with Vax Certificate issued by DICT for LGUs, waay na sang RT-PCR test. Indi lang ni para sa Bacolod, but this will be the rule for people coming in from the NCR, Cebu, Davao, Palawan, and all the other places. Kon fully vaccinated ka na and may vax certificate, pwede ka na ka kadto diri, waay na sang RT-PCR test kag waay na sang quarantine,” Trenas said.
Inbound travelers need to present QR Code from vax certificate and apply in S-Pass, said Trenas.
Those who are not yet fully vaccinated will still need to use S-Pass system, under quarantine for three days, and be tested for Covid-19 using RT-PCR on the third day.
Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) placed Iloilo City and Province under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) status from October 16-31, 2021.
Trenas said he will issue the Executive Order for GCQ implementation within the day.
