MORE Power fosters volunteerism in massive bloodletting activity
More Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) started the week on a high note with a bloodletting activity participated by its employees. This initiative is part of the fourth anniversary celebration of the company.
On February 14, 2019, then President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed the franchise of MORE Power so it will serve as the electric distribution utility of Iloilo City.
To mark this meaningful milestone, MORE Power gathered its linemen, security guards, contractor and employees for a massive bloodletting activity. A total of 46 units of blood were collected from the said initiative.
According to the employees of MORE, it is a good practice to have an annual bloodletting activity to promote the spirit of volunteerism and be a beacon of light to those who are in critical situation.
“Thankful and blessed kay naka donate kita sang dugo and as well as this blood will become a blessing to others who will be a recipient of my blood,” says employee Dave Beltran.
According to the Philippine Red Cross Iloilo, there is not enough blood supply in the blood bank as of now. These bloodletting activity plays a huge contribution to those who are in need.
This is the 5th bloodletting activity of MORE Power since it started its operations in 2022.
Since then, it has donated an accumulative 194 units of blood to the Philippine Red Cross.
