Iloilo City wins Regional Best PESO Award 2024

Iloilo City’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is once again hailed as grand winner for Best PESO Award 2024 in Western Visayas.

This is the third straight year that the city’s PESO won the regional recognition.

For winning the regional level, the office earned the nomination for the National Search, the result of which will be announced during this year’s PESO National Congress.

“We thank the good Mayor for the all out support in all our employment programs. His vision of providing jobs for every Ilonggo became our mantra,” expressed Iloilo City-PESO manager Gabriel Felix Umadhay.

Umadhay specifically thanked Mayor Jerry P. Treñas’ Executive Assistant Raisa Treñas for the support especially in providing the office with endless network of employers and business partners.

“I would also like to thank my dedicated team PESO for the selfless sacrifices, day in and day out, just to ensure that we continue to run all our 32 employment programs. This effort is our office’s unyielding commitment to make the lives of our Ilonggo constituents much better through employment opportunities that are responsive, inclusive, and sustainable,” Umadhay underscored.

Mayor Treñas, on his part, is all praises as he congratulated Umadhay and the PESO team for the achievement.

“When I first met you, I knew you were an achiever and will always aim for the highest star! Congratulations, and we are all rooting that you get the national award for the nth time. A real Ilonggo achiever – Gab Umadhay,” the city mayor said. (Iloilo City PIO)
