Iloilo City Still Most Competitive HUC Outside NCR

Iloilo City is still the No. 1 Most Competitive Highly Urbanized City outside National Capital Region (NCR), and Rank 5 in the country in the overall ranking.

The award was given during the Philippine Creative Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Congress by the Department of Trade and Industry-Competitiveness Bureau (DTI-CB) on Aug. 23, 2024 in Manila.

“I am proud of the achievements of Iloilo City. This is a testament of our teamwork and our resilience. Everyone worked so hard. Thank you for your hard work for Iloilo City,” Mayor Jerry P. Treñas expressed.

Iloilo City also bested other HUCs in the country after ranking in Government Efficiency.

Aside from it, the city also made it to the top list in the following categories:
🏆 Rank 5 – Most Competitive in Innovation
🏆 Rank 5 – Most Competitive in Resiliency
🏆 Rank 7- Most Competitive in Economic Dynamism
🏆 Rank 9 – Most Competitive in Infrastructure
