Iloilo CHO head, Uswag MoLab are CSC HAP regional winners
Iloilo City Health Officer Dr. Annabelle Tang and the Uswag Iloilo Molecular Laboratory join this year’s regional winners in the 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers under the Honor Awards Program (HAP) by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Tang won in the Dangal ng Bayan Award category; while the Uswag Iloilo Molecular Laboratory, with Annabelle Rosario Blancaflor as team leader, made it to the CSC Pagasa Award Group Category.
“Their/Her achievements have proven them/her to be agile, future-ready, and resilient lingkod bayan deserving of praise and admiration,” Director IV Nelson G. Sarmiento of the CSC-6 wrote Mayor Jerry P. Treñas and congratulated the winners from the city.
Treñas, on his part, also expressed his congratulations to Tang and MoLab Team under Blancaflor for a well-deserved recognition.
“I am very proud of the people I work with here in the City Government,” said the city mayor, who was also last year’s regional winner for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award category.
Meanwhile, both Tang and Blancaflor thanked the city mayor for the support and guidance as well as for serving as role model in excellent public service.
“We are deeply grateful for receiving this award, which will serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for us. Under the leadership of Mayor Treñas, we are confident that we can consistently provide outstanding public service,” said Tang.
CSC yearly recognizes civil servants with outstanding contributions and display of exemplary behavior.
The awards aim to motivate or inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service. (Iloilo City PIO)
