Bloggers share what they love most being IBS members.
There is no denying that the Iloilo Bloggers Society exists. Spawned mid-2019 – the Iloilo Bloggers Society is a community of bloggers from diverse backgrounds, existing for one common goal – to serve as a channel for online communications on a range of products, services, and events to a global audience.
In this ‘written webisode’ of IBS Speaks, we ask members what it is like being a member of the organization – to say it short, ‘what do they love being a member of the Iloilo Bloggers Society. Here are their answers.
“Unique personalities with a common purpose,” states Antoine Greg Flores, the blogger behind Iloilo Online Buzz and his newest one ‘EatsAGo’, chronicling the gastronomic finds of Iloilo and beyond.
“What I like about being with IBS is the camaraderie. It is also a support group. Each member has expertise which has somehow helped the other members. If I have problems related to my online work or blogging, some members gladly provide their advice. So grateful to be part of the Iloilo Bloggers Society!” states Kathy Purr behind the blog, Iloilo Updates. Iloilo Updates is a testament to its tagline ‘I’ve got some good news for you’. The blog writes about promising and inspirational news centered on positivity and goodwill that we need to be regularly digested into our system. After all, inspirational stories are just some of the things that encourage us to resonate positivity and become better members of the community.
“I used to blog alone but with a bloggers group, you get to go to new places, meet new people, and learn new things. You’re also updated on the latest trends, food, and events in the city. The members have different niches and specialties, and it’s good to have people to ask questions when we need it. Everyone is helpful, the group has good collaboration. I always look forward to #IBS Kapehan sessions,” states Allana Delgado behind the blog ‘Malditang Librarian’. What seems to be an extremely niche-specific blog is an extremely niche-specific blog. Allana wishes to raise awareness about librarianship in the Philippines. Moreover, the Malditang Librarian blog aims to promote the use of libraries not just in Iloilo, but in the entire country.
