Antique airport to resume commercial flights
-
Commercial flights plying Antique – NAIA route will resume this Sunday, June 28.
-
PAL needs at least 78 passengers to go on with the flight, or else it will be cancelled.
Antique airport will be restarting its Philippine Airline flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport this upcoming Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 9 AM. For this special commercial flight, 89 seats are available from NAIA to Antique and vice versa.
Gov. Dodod Cadiao met with Mr. Ricky Dela Cruz, PAL branch manager, early Tuesday morning to confirm the flight schedule. According to the governor, this was made through the efforts of our congresswoman, Hon. Loren Legarda, who contacted the management at PAL.
These trips are not exclusive only to Antiqueños so it is expected that locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from neighbouring provinces will also be vying for the slots. Since not all Antiqueños may be able to avail the tickets, Mr. Dela Cruz says that PAL is considering scheduling flights depending on the traffic or the amount of people interested in booking. However, if the minimum requirement of 78 seats will not be filled on or before Sunday, PAL may be cancelling the flights.
As of now, PAL has not yet started the release of the tickets as well as the pricing. Additionally, documents such as the travel pass and health certificate are required from the person upon checking in at NAIA and in Antique airport.
