Iloilo City wins big in CSC Honor Awards Program
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas led the winners from Iloilo City Government in the Honor Awards Program (HAP) 2023 Search for Outstanding Government Workers of Civil Service Commission Regional Office 6 during the Awarding Ceremonies at District 21 Hotel on September 21.
Treñas won the Regional Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award for outstanding work performance and contributions with national impact.
Treñas is credited through his WHEELS program for inclusive development, prioritizing welfare, health, education, environment, livelihood, and sustainability.
“Honored and grateful for this prestigious award! But more importantly, I am immensely grateful for the trust the Ilonggos have given me. They are my inspiration in every program and endeavor that we implement. Our efforts in providing quality and immediate service to all Ilonggos remains unwavering. This recognition is a manifestation of our relentless commitment towards better and more efficient programs and services for Iloilo City,” he said.
City Environment and Natural Resources Office head Engr. Neil Ravena won the Dangal ng Bayan Award for performance of extraordinary act or public service and consistent demonstration of exemplary ethical behavior.
City Health Office-Calumpang Birthing Center won the PAGASA Award for superior work performance and outstanding contributions benefiting an office, agency, community, or region.
CSC recognized civil servants with outstanding contributions and display of exemplary behavior.
The awards aim to motivate or inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service and conferment to deserving public servants during the celebration of the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service every September.
