Meanwhile, four Bright Scholars from Phinma-UI and one scholar from Western Institute of Iloilo have graduated since the program started in 2016.

“My dream has always been to finish my studies and the scholarship has helped me not only financially but also in preparing me for the life after graduation,” Prince Zapanza, one of the Bright scholars said.

Zapanza graduated at Phinma UI with a degree in BS Information Technology and is currently working at one of the biggest business process outsourcing companies in Iloilo City.

Aside from the scholarship, the Bright Program also offers an educational orientation to both the students and their parents, and mentoring program to the scholars at the PCPC power plant in Concepcion.
